Inspired by a washstand designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, now on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. My interpretation features many of the outstanding elements for which the Glasgow Style is famous. The art-glass back is an exact copy of the original washstand glass in the MET. The two drawers can be used for linens or silverware. Two lights are controlled by a built-in dimmer. The tiled counter surface makes it an ideal dining room sideboard, plant table or art pottery display area. Regardless of what use it is put to, it stands as a suburb work of art all on it's own. I recommend Motawi Tiles in Ann Arbor Michigan for the tile surface. The dimensions are the same as the original work.
