Mackintosh Clock

This is an exact reproduction, except for the finish, of the tall clock designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh for the Willow Tea Rooms in Glasgow in 1903. Like the original, this is not a pendulum movement; mine is fitted with a high-quality German wind-up movement, with a choice of three chime melodies. The clock face is polished steel with brass numerals. The lower case door hides a set of fixed shallow shelves. The original case has a murky dark stain; I have chosen a more labor-intensive transparent ebonized finish that does greater justice to this timeless design masterpiece.

28 7/8" W x 6 1/2" D x 74" H

Ebonized White Oak, Glass, Steel & Brass: $12,000
