Ikebana Table

A contemporary Asian-inspired Arts and Crafts design with roots in several old masters, this luxurious display table can be used for much more than Ikebana (flower arrangements). The highly textured cypress wood grain directly under the glass top, known in Japan as “jin-di-sugi,” is a decorative surface technique used by the designer John Bradstreet of Minneapolis. This design is open to a variety of other functions as is or with dimension changes. The glass top gives a very contemporary feel while exposing the base structure (which is usually hidden under a solid top) to any number of exciting designs. I am always happy to discuss new design ideas.
