I have been designing handmade custom fine furniture in Maine since 1986. The foundations of my designs are: architecture, Asian design and the International Arts and Crafts Movement. I consider my designs to be modern, made for the present, but with firm references to past fine furniture forms that have withstood the test of time.

I am co-author of the the book, Arts and Crafts Furniture; from Classic to Contemporary, and occasionally write for Fine Woodworking magazine. I also teach part-time at several woodworking schools around the country, see the "Writing and Teaching" page for my current schedule.
